Joan Dutrow is a seasoned Human Resource professional capable of working across all levels of an organization. Clients consistently describe Joan as a critical HR partner and exceptional management/executive coach and facilitator who guides leaders and organizations to develop realistic solutions to grow and scale their business.
Her approach is simple. As an interim HR Director, HR Initiative Leader or Group Facilitator, she asks the right questions to quickly and accurately diagnose the organization/business issues and opportunities. She then links the people processes with the strategies that are essential to deliver the right business results. Working with the leader and/or team to develop an implementation plan completes the work that leads to better team/individual results.
Joan’s competencies include HR Business Leader, building and scaling HR departments, organization diagnosis and design, team diagnosis and development, business transition and change management. She is certified to deliver Myers Briggs Type Indicator.
Joan has led Line HR teams, organizational design, training and development, and internal communications. At a Fortune 1000 company, she worked with the Executive team to develop and facilitate an annual integrated business planning process. She developed a pay for performance compensation program for a small, growing company, led HR integration efforts for acquisitions, and been the change manager and senior facilitator for several critical organizational transitions. Joan built an Internal Communications function, improved employee engagement and coordinated the Fortune Magazine Great Place To Work application (Ranked #6 for 2006).
Joan’s corporate background includes: Network Appliance, Inc., Quantum, Storage Dimensions, 3Com Corporation, IBM Corporation and ROLM Corporation. She holds a BA Degree from the University of California, Berkeley and an M.ED from Ohio University.
