Barbara Jones
Barbara Jones consults with leaders regarding the people side of strategy execution. She has spent much of her 25-year career assisting senior leaders and their teams with strategy development, organizational performance improvement, and large system change. As an internal practitioner, Barbara has held senior executive positions in employee development, organizational development and quality. Experienced in business, non-profit, education, and government, she has integrated concepts and tools from the fields of organizational development, quality improvement, systems thinking, and knowledge management in her consulting, executive coaching, and training work.
Barbara was a founding member and Chairman of the Board of the nationally-recognized Southern Center for Organizational Effectiveness, a membership-based learning community designed to provide opportunities for organizations to share knowledge about their improvement strategies. She served as Senior Advisor during the start-up of the Georgia Oglethorpe Award, the state-level equivalent of the Baldrige National Quality Award, and as a member of a national team advising the Baldrige Award during the creation of a track for non-profit organizations. She served on the Sounding Board of the Georgia Institute for Educational Leadership, an executive development program for school superintendents initiated by the Governor's Commission on Education. Barbara also sits on the advisory boards of several small businesses and The Mindfield Group, an organization providing leadership development and mentoring for mid level female executives.
Barbara has a master's degree from the University of Georgia in Adult Education, with a concentration in Organizational Development.
